Blender Secrets: Ragdoll part 3 - Connecting the Armature
Now we are going to connect our Ragdoll to this Armature.
First in Edit Mode we need to remove the parent from each bone.
Next we go to Pose Mode. Select a bone and add a “Child Of” bone constraint.
As the target, select the part of the Ragdoll that surrounds the bone (the “hitbox”).
If the bone jumps away, click on Set Inverse.
Be careful that you select the hitbox, and not the Armature. Zooming in helps.
Do this for all the bones.
Now the armature is parented to the ragdoll.
